Night Dresses

what could i do with my used prom dresses?

i've been out of HS for...this may it'll be 4 years and I have prom dresses the of course i only used the night of prom They are really pretty too. I only have 3 dresses (i didnt go to prom my freshman year) they are small sized, cause i am small & probably always will be :P anyway....what could i do with them? I thought about selling them locally and this is sad but...alot of the girls around where im from (a small town) are "bigger" than me. the prom here is in 2 weeks also. any suggestions? BTW i bought these dresses BRAND NEW for alot of money

  1. you dont have to sell them you can donate them somewhere. that is what my cousin did. its for poor people who got help with the main cost of prom and need more money for a dress.
  2. sell them on ebay. some parents buy their children's pageant dresses on ebay.
  3. try selling them on ebay, or to a local store?
  4. if you have a younger cousin or a firned has a younger sister you could always ask if hse needs a dress.if its 2 big you could always tailoredd..!
  5. Ebay's a good try, or you could also try taking them to a thrift store or Goodwill/Salvation Army location, if you're not interested in money. This way, a girl who may not be able to afford a dress could be amazed by finding your beautiful one at a price she could afford. Good luck!
  6. If you're in California give it to Working Wardrobes, that gives prom dresses to girls from low income families. www.workingwardrobes.org
  7. give them to good will. there are so many people out there that could use something to make them feel beautiful. I am sure not all the poor people are bigger than you. you could also bring them to a seamstress and have them altered into new hybrid dresses, skirts, scarves, whatever
  8. you could sell them to other furls, or even younger family members!!if all else fails than try to sell them on ebay! i wish you the best!!
  9. Ebay. If you've never used ebay I suggest let a neighbor or reletive who is good at it and has sold a lot on it and give them a tip. The reason you don't want to do it yourself is because some people don't trust you if you've never sold anything. People can look at your profile of how many things you've bought, sold, and costomer reviews. Good luck!
  10. http://www.fairygodmothersinc.org/donate/index.html you can donate your dress to girls who can't afford one here.
  11. If these dresses were a lot of money, than maybe you could sell them to a local dress shop, or you could maybe sell them on ebay for a decent price. If you got this dress from somewhere like a vintage shop for a lower price, than maybe you could donate them to charity.
  12. Dip it in plaster of paris and hang it up to dry. Use as a wall hanging.
  13. Give one to some poor people and sell one on ebay and keep the other one.
  14. Alot or towns and cities have a charity called gowns for towns. Or something along that line!
  15. Keep them. Maybe your daughter could wear them to her prom. If you ever have a daughter that is. Or you can give the dresses to a younger family member. You should keep them. Their special dress.
