Night Dresses

Are you supposed to wear pantyhose with prom dresses?

My mom and my friend's mom have been having this battle with us for awhile. Are you always supposed to wear pantyhose with prom dresses or not? Even when you are wearing open toed shoes?

  1. according to what not to wear, its ok to wear pantyhose with open toed shoes.
  2. NO u dont wear pantyhose
  3. if u wear open toed shoes, i suggest NOT wearing the pantyhose..if its cover toed, then go ahead...but i usually dont see girls covering with panty hoses...so dont wear one
  4. i dont think u should cuz u r gonna dance the almost whole night so u r gonna sweat if u wear the tights........ and its inside with about 100 more peeps...
  5. It really depends on you. Your not supposed to do anything you don't want to do. Mom's will always be mom's and therefore they will do anything to cover up their little girls. It also depends on the dress, if the dress is above the knees, then it woube be appropriate to wear pantyhose, since it's a school party. If the dress is below the knees, I don't see what the problem is, even if you are wearing open toe shoes.
  6. No Hookers are the only ones who wear pantyhose today!
  7. your natural legs are better.. don't go there with panthoses. Trust me on this =)
  8. if your wearing open toed shoes, get the sandlefoot pantyhose(no stitch lines at the toes) but, if youve got pretty legs and a pedicure, skip em and go for that pretty pair of expensive undies instead
  9. never! Esp. with open toed shoes! But get a pedicure and wear some great open toed shoes! Have fun!
  10. It really depends on what you're wearing. With open-toed shoes, I would say it would be preferred for you not to wear them and instead get a neutral-coloured pedicure. However, both options are completely acceptable and widely used. I am not a big pantyhose fanatic, and it was much more comfortable for me to go without, but it's purely a comfort issue and also, if wearing open-toed, many people go without. Have fun!
  11. no panty hose. sorry.
  12. it depends on the kind of shoes, how long your dress is, and how your legs look. If you have flip flops, by no means should you wear pantyhose. if your dress is floorlength then wear what is comfortable. It your dress is not floor length, then I would suggest wearing pantyhose, unless you have great legs that are well waxed.
  13. Do what your mom and her friend tell you. They know the approriate dress code for a prom.
  14. no way thats very tacky pantyhose are a church thing or a boring tea party thing
  15. No, my teacher said that when she had prom after the prom, they would get dressed into there other clothes inside the bathroom to go eat out. So when they would get dressed out of their prom dress it would be harder and longer take them off. so no, plus you would be in a bathroom! Ewww! lol! ♥
  16. It is an individual choice to wear pantyhose or not. Personally, I hate pantyhose because they are ugly, outdated, and uncomfortable. Pantyhose doesn't look right with an open toed shoe. Going with you smooth and tanned bare legs is best.
  17. pantyhose w/ open toed shoes is for unfashionable adults.
