Where can i find formal dresses for big busted women?

my girlfriend is short 5'1 and has 36dd breasts (great i know : P) and she needs to find a formal dress for a gala event she is going to attend and needs a dress.

2. Well, as your girlfriend knows, being big-bosomed is NOT so great. Finding a dress that fits properly is difficult, particularly evening wear. If she's a good seamstress, she may be able to find a gown that will fit her bust, and then take in the rest of the dress to fit. Has she tried Avenue, online? It's a good place to start.
3. Hello, I think that many different stores will carry dresses that will work for your girlfriend, it is more important to look at the style of dress. Obviously, a dress that offers a lot of support on top is a priority. I would suggest a halter top style dress. These dresses can work to accentuate the breasts but also support them properly. Strapless dresses may look great on busty girls, but offer so little support that your girlfriend would run the risk of exposing herself. I might also suggest that because she is so tiny, that she buy a dress that fits her breasts properly (which will probably mean the dress will be larger than the size she normally wears) and pays to have it altered to fit the rest of her body. It is much simpler for a seamstress to take in fabric (to make part of the dress smaller) than it is for a seamstress to add fabric to an outfit. Plus with a seamstress altering the dress for your girlfriends body, it would guarantee to fit better than any off the rack store bought dress would. You can find dresses at any major department store, and usually you can find seamstresses at those stores also. Or I would suggest going to a local fabric store. I hope this helps, and good luck!

5. ok, I'm 5'4 and 36DD so here's her best bet: Nothing strapless or spaghetti strapped. She needs to first find a style that allows her to wear a real bra. Then find the size that fits her bust (it will probably be a HUGE size on her) bring that dress to any seamstress with the undergarments and shoes she intends to wear and have the seamstress fit the rest of the dress to the rest of her body. Any bridal store will be able to tell you where to take it for alterations.
