Night Dresses

where is a good place online to find formal dresses?

I have a black tie event to go to so I need to find a formal dress- as formal as they get. I've looked at places like nordstrom, neiman marcus and saks but they dont seem to offer many gowns. do any of you know of any good places to look?

1. when my daughter needed a prom dress and a dress for the winter ball at her college, i purchased 6 gowns/formal dresses from ebay;.....all dresses were brand new....the materials varied, from taffetta 2 piece, to a silk organza......colors were mint green, teal, peach, butter yellow, turquoise. all of these dresses were less than $20..... just go to ebay and in the search option, plug in formal gown and size right next to it.. good luckkkkk
2. eBay is awesome, I bought my wedding dress on ebay, it was custom made to me and it fit like a glove, it took three weeks to get though. My sister just bought a great homecoming dress on eBay, it was new with tags and looks really good.
