How do styles change for formal dresses for a young woman between high school prom and college formal outings?
I'm 20 and in college. If I'm considering buying a formal dress (or two) for my college year formals, how should that dress be different from I wore to the prom in high school? My prom dress was pink, strapless, floor length, slightly poofy ballgown.

- Darker colors, less "pouf"
- You want something more sophisticated but most importantly something you feel comfortable in. I also agree with darker colors. You can't go wrong with at least one sexy black dress. You would also want something a little less extravagant (not totally sequined dresses). Strapless and floor length is fine but I would stay away from the poofy ballgowns.
- ur pink, slightly poofy prom dress, sounds beautiful, but the pink suggests fun loving carefree. as u are older, and want a formal dress...y not try a figure hugging, or tailored dress? for a more sophisticated look? how about emerald green...because i see from ur avatar that ur hair is dark..tis would rly flatter u :) u might want to ave two different, but equally beautiful dresses...so y not try a halter neck...and strapless? also remember the length..no minis 4 a formal dress:)..try knee length, this is the most flattering:) here are dresses i think r suitable, simple but elegant:) http://www.choicehairstyles.com/images/2007-prom-dresses-4a.jpg http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/54/453/1600/clubmonaco3.jpg that style, not to fussy:) hope this helpsxx
