What is a good place to buy formal dresses?

I'm in 8th grade, and we always have this dance called the formal every year. It's coming up, but I don't have a dress yet. I want one that stands out, so any ideas?

3. Macy's, Lord&Taylor, even Sears might have them. You need to look good but not spend all that much money for an 8th grade dance. Save it for 4 years later when it's prom time. That's when it's definitely worth it!
4. you might want to check the goodwill, or family dollar.. they have some nice stuff. oh and dont forget to check out the salvation army

6. The best place I have found is www.fiftydollarformals.com. All dresses are $50 - great deal on items that cost up to $300. The inventory is always changing, but they have great stuff.
