Why do women wear Evening gowns to night clubs?

Shouldn't they wear night gowns?

6. To dress up. In CA, we are so casual, the diamonds & blue jeans commercials were geared toward our state. Especially southern California. Any beach community is more relaxed, and we don't have that many opportunities to "put on the ritz" so we do it when we can just barely get away with it. I don't, because I'm a jeans and T-shirt girl myself.
7. They should be in hot mini skirts and high heels.

10. Shoot, I ain' wearin' no night gowns away from home, just to get hit on by some pervs. If I had to choose between night gown and evening gown, I pick evening. Though I do like to spruce up, I would not wear a evening gown unless I was going somewhere that requires that.
11. i wasnt aware they did- usually i thought they wore semi-formal sparkly dresses however this may be a new trend i was not aware of,i dont think they wear night gowns--that is a cotton neglegai to sleep in.
