Can someone help me with a movie I once saw with an image of a group of women in long white night gowns? In the image I have in my head, it seems some of them were trying to escape... What I recall of the plot, they were being processed to be used as slaves or servants or perhaps to produce children... I was probably 11 or 12 years old, so the movie is mostly likely a 70s movie. I don't know why I have a bug in my brain about this image from the movie, but if there's someone out there who knows what I'm talking about, it would be great! I had a bug in my brain about another old movie, possibly seen around the same time - I finally found it - the title was "Johnny Got His Gun". Both of these films were very strange - perhaps that's why the images from them stayed with me for so long. Both were possibly seen on late night Turner broadcasting - who used to show lots of old movies... The Handmaiden sounds right! Looking at IMDB it could possibly be The Handmaid's Tale... The Handmaiden's Tale it is! Wow! Yahoo Answers works! So glad to know I'm not insane! ~grin~ I thought the movie was much older than it actually is though... made in 1990... but I'll put it in my movie queue just for old time's sake!
